The backstory of San Gabriel River Meadows:
Floyd Clark had long been searching for a ranch near his birthplace of Liberty Hill, when he located a beautiful 69 acre tract along Polly Creek and the North San Gabriel River.Floyd loved all things outdoors from the native pecan trees along the creek, his small herd of cattle, gardening and building fences. He loved plowing and often after a heavy rain he found Indian arrow heads laying on the ground. (Research later revealed that Indian occupation goes back thousands of years along this portion of the River.) Lorene loved watching all the wildlife, from the wild turkey flock that roosted in trees along the creek to the deer, foxes and armadillos. She enticed humming birds, cardinals and painted buntings with numerous bird feeders around the house. Many evenings were spent fishing in the river. After 55 years in the Clark family we are now making the property available for others to enjoy.
